Resumii (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

By using Resumii, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information you explicitly provide while using the app:

Personal Information: Your name, email address, phone number, location, LinkedIn URL, and portfolio URL.
Professional Information: Your job title, professional summary, work experience (company, title, dates, descriptions), education history, skills, and certifications.
Preferences: Theme preference (light, dark, or system) and onboarding completion status.

We do not collect your precise geolocation, contacts, photos, or any device identifiers beyond what is strictly necessary for app functionality.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely for the following purposes:

To create, edit, and display your resumes within the app.
To generate PDF exports of your resumes.
To save your theme preference and onboarding progress.
To provide AI-assisted writing suggestions (processed entirely on your device).
To improve app stability through anonymous crash reporting.

Data Storage & Security

All resume data, app preferences, and settings are stored exclusively on your device using local storage (SharedPreferences). No data is transmitted to remote servers, cloud databases, or third-party services.

Your resume content never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export it (e.g., via the Share or PDF export features).

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data on-device. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

AI Processing

Resumii may use on-device AI to assist with resume content suggestions, bullet point rephrasing, and ATS (Applicant Tracking System) keyword analysis. All AI processing occurs locally on your device. No resume data, personal information, or app usage data is sent to external AI services or processed in the cloud.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties.

We do not transmit your resume data over the internet. The only data that may be transmitted is:

Anonymous crash reports: If you opt in, anonymized crash data is shared with platform providers (e.g., Google Play) to help us diagnose and fix issues. No personal or resume data is included.

Third-Party Services

Resumii uses the following third-party services in a purely local capacity:

PDF generation (pdf/printing packages): Generates PDF files entirely on-device. No data is sent externally.
SharedPreferences: Local key-value storage on your device for saving resumes and preferences.
Crash reporting: Anonymous crash data collection via platform SDKs (no personal information included).

None of these services receive your resume content or personal data.

Your Rights & Control

You have full control over your data at all times:

Access: View all your resume data within the app at any time.
Edit: Modify or update any information using the resume editor.
Delete: Delete individual resumes or all app data through your device’s app settings (clear app data or uninstall).
Export: Export your resume as a PDF or share it with others using your device’s share functionality.

Because all data is stored locally, you can fully erase it by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the application.

Children’s Privacy

Resumii is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
